White Silver Needles

Another wonderful tea from the Fujian province of China, this tea is harvested in early spring to capture the delicate leaves required to make this almost ephemeral tea.  It's easy to see why it's known as the 'lady of all teas'; it's sweet, mellow, clean and entirely delicate.  Making a cup that is almost clear this tea is without a doubt one of the most subtle in the Choi Time range, and thanks to its extremely low caffeine content can be drunk at any time.

As with all of Choi Time's teas, the white needle tea is packed full of health benefits; it's known to reduce blood pressure and cholesterol and helps improve eyesight.  In addition, this tea is so full of antioxidants it's the perfect choice for when you're looking to cleanse or detox your body.

To brew the perfect cup, simply put a pinch (or a gram) of tea leaves into a cup and pour just boiled (but not boiling, the recommended temperature is between 175F-185F) and allow to infuse for 5-10 minutes.  This tea really does go a long way, and depending on your preference, you can use this amount of tea for 3 to 5 refills without loss of depth and flavour.

As opposed to many 'white teas', this one really is something special, as one of my customers put it;

"...light, and sweet tasting this is the best white tea I've tried so far, thank you!" Lydia Chen, Harts
